While EA has confirmed that we’ll be hearing about this year’s Battlefield game in spring, it looks like that game will have to ship without one of the franchise’s veteran devs. Over on Twitter, Battlefield/DICE Producer Jaqub Ajmal announced that he’s departing DICE after almost a decade of service.

After almost a decade on Battlefield the time has come for me to end this chapter in my life. I would like to thank you all for an amazing 10 years and I will be forever grateful for the experiences we shared. Thank you so much and see you on the Battlefield! pic.twitter.com/EV5dv1wsZw

Battlefield 1 – Apocalypse – 2018
Battlefield 1 – Turning Tides – 2017
Battlefield 1 – In the name of the Tsar – 2017
Mirror´s Edge Catalyst – 2016
Battlefield Hardline – 2014
Battlefield 4 – 2014
Battlefield 4 – Naval Strike -2014
Battlefield 4 – China Rising – 2014
Battlefield 4 – Second Assault – 2014
Battlefield 3 – End Game – 2013

Battlefield 1942 – Origin Version – 2012
Battlefield 3: Armored Kill – 2012

As you can see, he has worked on not only on mainline Battlefield titles but even on DLCS, and other spin-offs. Ajmal has been very active on Twitter in answering fan questions and even some tech-related queries from Battlefield fans, which not a lot of devs do.

For now, Ajmal has not shared where he’s headed, but we here at MP1st wish him nothing but the best! You can keep tabs on Ajmal’s next stuff planned by his profile on Twitter.
